Growing strong...
Baby Crowley's heart beat was beating strong. We had a quick prenatal appointment today and everything seems to be on track. Just waiting to get the 20 week ultrasound next week and be at the official halfway mark! Names we are pondering on... Autumn, Aubrey, and Ashlyn. I don't know why we are stuck on A names as we aren't using a book... odd.

What's in a name?
Little baby Crowley is without a name. My number 1 pick was Olivia Hope, but Matt doesn't like that name. The only names he has suggested for her are: October (when we did not know our due date) and Autumn Marie or Autumn Olivia. He has not turned down the name Aubrey, so that could be a possibility. We have 22 weeks to decide. Hard to believe she will be here so soon. My next doctor's appointment is on Tuesday, June 16 where I will hear her heartbeat again. Pretty exciting!! Our next ultrasound will be June 23. I can't wait to see her on screen again.

Baby Crowley is getting bigger!
After much convincing, I told Matt that I simply cannot wait until 20 weeks to find out the sex of the baby. Of course, the thing I wish for most is that the baby arrives and is healthy... but you must admit, you too are curious about the sex of this little one. We are checking with others to see if May 28 will be a good date for his parents and my grandparents and maybe Aunt Jill and GREAT Aunt Joyce to see the little one on screen. I can hardly wait! Lets just hope he or she is in a good position so they have no trouble telling the sex. We are having a tough time with names, so hopefully after we know what sex to expect we can think of something. Since my last post, we went to the doctor and had our first official ultrasound. The baby was very active with a heart rate of 152. Our due date is November 11 or November 12 depending on who you ask... the ultrasound machine said we were 11 weeks and one day and the tech said our due date is November 11. However, when the doctor put the official ultrasound read into the computer, it was put in as 11 weeks exactly, which makes the due date November 12. I know chances of having the baby on either of these dates are slim, so for my personal preference, I have decided to go with November 11 as 11-11 sounds pretty neat and really easy for Matt to remember. I posted some pictures. I have no idea why they are sideways and not to blog savvy so any tips to turn them the right way would be appreciated.

Last night we went to my mother in law's house for her surprise 60th birthday party. Jill (Matt's sister) and her friend Judy had planned the whole thing out and boy was she surprised! She made sure that everyone knew that she was going to be a grandma! She is super excited and cannot wait for the baby's arrival. So far, I hear she wants a girl and her sister wants a girl. Matt's sister says it is a boy. I would love a girl, but just hope we make it all the way with a healthy little one. Many weeks left... I will try to post some pictures of the party if I can figure out how to.

Our new addition!
After several weeks of being nauseous, a fellow coworker convinced me to take a pregnancy test and I found out we are having our first baby! Matt didn't believe it a first, but after two more positive tests we both thought it was pretty likely. I have had an "unofficial" ultrasound that confirmed correct placement and cardiac movement of the baby (sorry no copies of it), so we are now preparing for our new addition. Our first "official" ultrasound that will estimate our due date is scheduled for April 23.
Matt is so excited that he has already bought the baby its first clothes. He bought 6 Auburn onesies, so I guess he is determined for the baby will be an Auburn fan. He told me tonight that the baby needs a remote control car that it can fit on and he will duct tape it down to the car and control it. He has also mentioned that he hopes the baby likes GI Joes as he has saved his from childhood. I tried to explain that babies don't exactly come out playing, but he will catch on soon enough. He has been really cute about the whole thing.
I have not have the opportunity to be so excited as I spend a lot of time feeling sick. Everyone says it will pass and I cannot wait for that to happen. It is really hard to eat healthy when most food is not appealing. I have discovered and over the counter medication for nausea called Emetrol, which is safe during pregnancy. It has become my best friend along with the box of Cheerios on my night stand.
